COUNCIL APPROVES RESOLUTION HONORING JACKIE ROBINSON, APOLOGIZING FOR RACISM HE FACED IN PHILADELPHIA

PHILADELPHIA -March 31, 2016 – Councilwoman Helen Gym (At Large) today submitted a resolution  “honoring the lifetime achievements and lasting influence of Jackie Robinson, and apologizing for the racism he faced as a player while visiting Philadelphia.”

The resolution passed unanimously.
