Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property to execute and deliver to the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority deeds conveying fee simple title to certain City-owned lots or pieces of ground with the buildings and improvements thereon, situated in the Second Councilmanic District of the City of Philadelphia pursuant to Section 16-405 of The Philadelphia Code.
Authorizing City Council?s Committee of the Whole to hold all hearings required pursuant to Bill No. 200364-A, which established a requirement that the Council hold hearings in connection with anticipated collective bargaining agreements between the City and Police Employees in the Philadelphia Police Department represented by the Fraternal Order of Police.
Amending Title 9 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled ?Regulation of Businesses, Trades and Professions,? by adding a new Chapter, entitled ?Residential Property Wholesalers,? to regulate the solicitation of purchases of real property and require certain disclosures by property purchasers to homeowners, and amending Chapter 9-1100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled ?Fair Practices Ordinance: Protections Against Unlawful Discrimination,? to provide protections to homeowners from solicitation and related problems, all under certain terms and conditions.
Amending Chapter 9-2300 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled ?Protection of Displaced Contract Workers,? by clarifying definitions and scope of applicability, all under certain terms and conditions.
Adding a new Chapter 9-5300 to The Philadelphia Code, entitled ?Travel and Hospitality Worker Recall and Retention,? to require that certain laid-off employees in certain hospitality and travel-related industries are offered job positions as they become available, all under certain terms and conditions.
Providing for a payment to the City upon the construction of certain real estate, and directing Council to appropriate revenues from such payments to the Department of Planning and Development – Division of Housing and Community Development, in order to support equitable neighborhood development by constructing affordable housing, including units for sale or rent; providing assistance to Philadelphians who desire to become homeowners; providing opportunities for workforce development and apprenticeship; and requiring M/W/DBE participation goals, including monitoring and enforcement, all under
Adding a new Chapter 9-5400 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled ?Retention of Hotel Workers,? to require that hotel employees receive notice of changes in hotel ownership or control, and providing related employment protections, all under certain terms and conditions.
Authorizing the City Council Special Committee on Criminal Justice Reform to hold public hearings that will serve as a listening session for the public to weigh in on what a new Citizens Police Oversight Commission would look like if approved on the Nov. 3, 2020 General Election.
Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 46-S by striking from the City Plan and vacating Penrose Ferry Road from Penrose Avenue to its terminus northeastwardly therefrom and reserving and placing on the City Plan a right-of-way for various public utility purposes within the lines of Penrose Ferry Road being stricken and authorizing acceptance of the grant to the City of the said right-of-way being reserved, under certain terms and conditions.
