Councilman Brian O’Neill announces that the deadline for the Homestead Exemption is September 13, 2019.
Under legislation sponsored by Councilman O’Neill the homestead exemption has been increased to $45,000.00, saving homeowners a total of $629 annually.
After outreach from Councilman O’Neill including press releases and mailings to eligible homeowners who had not yet applied, in excess of 1,000 new applicants have enrolled in the program.
If you still have not applied, please do so by the 9/13/2019 deadline.
