COUNCILMAN O’NEILL ANNOUNCES DEADLINE FOR SENIOR CITIZEN REAL ESTATE TAX FREEZE APPLICATIONS

 PHILADELPHIA – 10/1/2013 Councilman Brian O’Neill announces that the Revenue Department is now accepting senior citizen real estate tax freeze applications. Senior citizens with less than $23,500.00 and couples with less than $31,500.00 in income (from all sources) for 2012 may be eligible for an exemption from any future increase in real estate taxes.

The due date for the application is October 15, 2013. If you have any questions about the program or need assistance in filling out the application, please contact one of Councilman O’Neill’s three offices, including his new full time neighborhood office at the FOP “Heroes Hall” headquarters building at 11630 Caroline Road (215-437-9167). This is in addition to his neighborhood office at Bustleton & Bowler above the 7th Police District (215-685-0432) and City Hall office (215-686-3422).
