The Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) recently broke ground in North Philadelphia on the first phase of the agency’s Sharswood/Blumberg Transformation Plan. This plan is PHA’s most ambitious and dynamic development plan in nearly a decade.
Council President Darrell L. Clarke, Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, Mayor Michael Nutter, PHA President Kelvin Jeremiah, State Representative-elect Donna Bullock, Sr. Mary Scullion, co-founder of Project H.O.M.E. and long-time area residents were among those in attendance to help break ground at an event held on August, 20 at North 24th and Bolton Sts.
