Bill No. 220110 would add additional requirements for demolition permits for structures that were ever used as religious facilities and that were built 50 or more years ago. This bill is problematic for several reasons. Apart from the practical considerations, the bill is not legally effective or enforceable, according to the Philadelphia Law Department. Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 120 by striking from the City Plan and vacating Sharswood Street and Harlan Street, each from Twenty-Second Street to Twenty-Third Street; and reserving and placing on the City Plan rights-of-way for sewer and drainage purposes and gas main purposes, such as may be necessary, within the lines of the said streets being stricken, and authorizing acceptance of the grant to the City of the said rights-of-way, all under certain terms and conditions.

Amending Title 21 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Miscellaneous” to create a new Chapter 21-3300 authorizing the establishment of a rewards program for the provision of information related to certain civil or criminal violations; and making various changes to Title 10 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Regulation of Individual Conduct and Activity” and Title 12 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Traffic Code,” to remove and consolidate prior provisions concerning rewards programs; all under certain terms and conditions.
