Unlock the Door: First Time Homebuyer Education and Empowerment Workshop | SEPTEMBER 28, 2016

Street Community Center; ONE Better, LLC; Freedom Mortgage Company; Urban League of Philadelphia; Ardent Credit Union; Wells Fargo; Student Loan Doctor; Clarifi and State Farm will  host a first time homebuyer workshop: Unlock the Door: First Time Homebuyer and Education Workshop.  Homeownership is an important investment and a key part of wealth creation. It is important that first time homebuyers have the knowledge and tools necessary for the home purchase process.

Location: John F. Street Community Center| Directions

Time: 6:00- 8:30 pm

What:  FREE series of workshops will educate first time homebuyers on the home purchase process and empower homebuyers to be financially responsible and aware of the long-term benefits homeownership can have.

Councilwoman Hosts “Knit-In” for City’s Homeless Children | SEPTEMBER 29, 2016

Make a difference this winter by attending the Office of Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown 2016 Warmth in Winter Knit In on September 29, 2016. Bring your yarn and needles and knit with others for Philadelphia’s homeless children! Every item of clothing will be distributed at the Warmth in Winter Grande Finale in December.

Time: 10:00 am 0 2:30 pm

What:  The Office of Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown annual Knit In is a program that collects hand-made knitted and crocheted hats, gloves, scarves and blankets from the very active and generous craft community in Philadelphia.
