Philadelphia City Council members Helen Gym, Jannie Blackwell, Derek Green, Bobby Henon, Maria Quiñones-Sanchez, Blondell Reynolds Brown, Mark Squilla and Allan Domb, in partnership with Philadelphians Organized to Witness, Empower & Rebuild (POWER) will host two days of events at City Hall to support Fair Funding for Pennsylvania Public Schools. The events are also co-sponsored by Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY), Philadelphia Student Union and Education Voters of Pennsylvania.
September 12: Sing-In

Time: 2:00-6:00 pm
What: Marching bands, church choirs, community groups and others will perform throughout this afternoon in support of fair funding for public schools.

September 13: Fair Funding Lawsuit Hearing
Location: City Hall | Directions
Time: 9:00am-12:00 noon
What: Join us to watch oral argument, and then stay after, as parents, teachers, students, and an array of professionals gather outside of City Hall to testify about the Constitution’s requirement that every child receive a quality, adequately funded public education.
