PHILADELPHIA – December 9, 2016. Councilwoman Cindy Bass (8th District) issued the following statement on the announced contract deal:

“I was very pleased to hear that the Pennsylvania Association Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals and Tenet Health Corp. have reached agreements on new labor contracts. This deal shows how important it is for workers to organize and have the ability to collectively bargain. Nurses save lives, and they deserve safe workplaces, experience-based wages, and quality health care plans that allow them to provide the best care for patients. As Chair of City Council’s Committee on Public Health and Human Services, I look forward to working with all parties to ensure that our nurses have the ability to provide quality patient care in a supportive environment.”
