COUNCILMAN O’NEILL ANNOUNCES HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION INCREASED TO $45,000.00

Councilman Brian O’Neill’s legislation to increase the homestead exemption has passed unanimously in City Council. As a result, the homestead exemption will increase by 12.5% from $40,000.00 to $45,000.00.

Under the new $45,000 exemption, over 30,000 enrolled owner-occupants in his district will now save a total of $629.00 annually.
