PHILADELPHIA – Councilman Brian O’Neill announces that the Revenue Department is now accepting senior citizen real estate tax freeze applications. Individuals with less than $23,500.00 and couples with less than $31,500.00 in income (from all sources) for 2013 are eligible for an exemption from any future increase in real estate taxes.
The due date for the application is January 1, 2015. This is in addition to his neighborhood office at Bustleton & Bowler above the 7th Police District (215-685-0432) and City Hall office (215-686-3422).
