PHILADELPHIA | March 15, 2024 – The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Complete Streets is looking to recruit Community Ambassadors to help advocate for positive traffic safety practices, be a voice in their communities to address traffic-related injuries, and represent their neighborhoods in Philadelphia’s mission to achieve zero traffic deaths. Applications are due by March 31, 2024.

No prior experience is needed to be a Vision Zero Ambassador. The Ambassador program recruits, trains, and equips ambassadors to share traffic safety information with their communities. They are looking for enthusiastic, civically engaged citizens with an interest in learning more about speeding, crashes, and traffic safety who want to make a difference in their neighborhoods. All Ambassadors are required to attend a minimum of 8 outreach events and attend a once-a-month check-in. Vision Zero Ambassadors will receive a stipend of $1,500 upon completion of the program which lasts from May to September.

Councilmember O’Neill has four Neighborhood Offices in the Northeast to serve you. If you have any questions about the program or for help applying to become a Vision Zero Ambassador, please feel free to call or visit:
