PHILADELPHIA – 10/18/2013 Councilman O’Neill announces that the six month pilot program that allowed trash and recycling to be put out two hours earlier in his district has been made permanent throughout the City. Now, everyone can put out their trash and recycling at 5 PM. instead of 7 PM from October through April.

Also, beginning December 1, 2013, the Streets Department will require that all mattresses and box-springs set out for curbside collection be placed in mattress disposal bags, in an attempt to prevent the spread of bedbugs.

If you have any questions about either of these changes, please contact one of Councilman O’Neill’s three offices, FOP “Heroes Hall” headquarters building at 11630 Caroline Road (215-437-9167), Bustleton & Bowler above the 7th Police District (215-685-0432), and 562 City Hall (215-686-3422).
