PHILADELPHIA – April 12, 2016 – The Philadelphia City Council Committees on Children and Youth and Education held a joint hearing yesterday to discuss the impact that years of cuts have had on the” academic outcomes in Philadelphia schools, and on vulnerable student populations.”
At the hearings, Councilwoman Helen Gym (at Large) presented information committee members gathered in speaking with students, parents, teachers, and other education stakeholders at a series of education town halls held in March. That presentation can be found here.
