City Councilman Brian O’Neill announces that the Philadelphia Energy Authority is now hiring for the Bright Solar Futures Summer Training Program. The program will provide young people with the opportunity to learn: construction safety, how to install solar panels, the basics of energy efficiency, and how to succeed in a new work place.

Applicants must be City of Philadelphia residents between the ages of 14-21. If accepted, this paid program will run from July 8th – Aug 16th, Monday – Friday; 20 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for young people to prepare for the jobs created through the Philadelphia Energy Campaign. Students interested in the solar training program must apply by March 20, 2019 by calling the Philadelphia Energy Authority at 215-686-4483.
