On Wednesday, February 10, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, Council President Darrell L. Clarke (5th District), Councilman Mark Squilla (1st District) and other city officials participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of JFK Plaza/ Love Park.

Both the park and the Welcome Center have been redesigned and will be renovated during 2016. JFK Plaza/Love Park is projected to reopen to the public in spring 2017.
