Join Philadelphia City Council in asking Pennsylvania’s Insurance Commissioner to stop insurance companies from charging us twice for the same coverage.
Because the Affordable Care Act requires every health insurance policy sold to cover emergency services, without annual or lifetime limits on benefits, everyone who has health insurance already has more than the $5,000 dollars worth of medical insurance required for car insurance. Yet insurance companies are collecting twice for this coverage, first in health insurance and then in car insurance. If Council succeeds in this effort, all Philadelphia drivers will save $100 a year on average.
