Affordable Rental Housing RFPs
This unprecedented act combines all the resources that are available to develop such projects into a unified funding system for the first time in our City’s history. The Office of Housing and Community Development and the Philadelphia Housing Authority are to be commended for working so hard over the past several months to create a new system that will result in increasing the production of affordable rental housing which is in such shortage in our City.
Although, due to HUD regulations, there are two separate RFPs, there will be a joint briefings, proposal review committees and a collaborative process to select projects to receive funding from the RFPs.
