Lance Haver is the Director of Civic Engagement for Philadelphia’s City Council. He has previously served as the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Consumer Affairs, the managing partner of a network of worker owned businesses and the director of a grass roots advocacy group. He has been qualified as an expert on utility rates appearing before State and Federal Courts and the Public Utility Commission; he has challenged insurance rate hikes before the Pennsylvania Insurance Commission; and advocated for consumer protections before various governmental committees. Lance is a board member of the Philadelphia Unemployment Project and on the steering committee of Raise the Wage PA.
Lance and his wife Lisa, raised 3 boys in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, the “empty nesters” currently reside in South Philadelphia.
